The Ohio Lightning National Team takes several trips through out the year to National Wrestling Events. These trips are designed to provide wrestlers from all over Ohio an opportunity to train with and compete against some of the best wrestlers in the entire country. Wrestling national competition against the nation's best wrestlers is a very valuable learning experience for wrestlers of all levels.
Ohio Lightning competes at all levels including Elementary, Middle School, and High School. Tournaments that we have competed in the past include the following: USAW National Middle School Duals, NWCA Brute Scholastic Duals, AAU Disney Duals, NHSCA National Wrestling Duals, PA Air Dome Duals, VAC Challenge Duals, among others.
Over the past few years there have been many OHSAA State Champions, dozens of OHSAA State Placers, and countless numbers of Jr. High and Grade School State Placers that have taken National Team trips with Team Ohio Lightning.

AIR DOME DUALS
Congratulations to the members of Team Ohio Lightning who participated in the
Air Dome Duals in Muncy, PA July 11-12th, 2008.
The team ended up 7-0 overall. Wins the first day came over PA Young Guns (54-21), NY Chin Cup (43-29), and PA Mixed Team (90-0). On Day 2 Ohio Lightning won the 16 team Championship Bracket with wins over Delaware Valley (60-12) in Round One, PA Legends (44-28) in the Quarterfinals, PA Bad Karma (49-29) in the Semifinals, and in the finals over the PA SV River Boyz (37-31).
